Life can sometimes get in the way.
Despite best efforts and intentions to stay in regular touch with the ones we are away from, with time-zone differences (one is doing breakfast time while the other is doing bed time!) conflicting schedules and general adult responsibilities it rarely happens. The comfort is that when we do see each other, sometimes after 1 or 2 years, it is like no time has passed at all.
The evidence of time though is there in our children, new babies arrive, a newborn from a previous visit is now a toddler and toddlers are at school.
From Opposite Ends is our way of encouraging each other to pick up our cameras, not our phones, and take regular photographs of our children in their daily lives thereby documenting our experiences of motherhood. By combining these experiences we connect and watch our children grow together even though they are growing up 17000km apart.
We will also be joining in Practicing Simplicity’s 52 Project where we share a portrait of our children once a week every week for 2015.
We hope you enjoy and appreciate this small but real insight into our lives.
